Urban Ink Tattoo Studio was formed in Southend in 2005 with an additional tattoo studio in Brentwood in 2008, and has rapidly gained a reputation for first class work, both flash and custom.

Bringing tattooing into the 21st century, we have thousands of pages of designs both in the books and on the in house computer as well as a limitless supply of image searches on the internet.... all at your disposal.

At Urban Ink we specialise in custom work, so if you still don't find that ideal design you require, then feel free to speak to one of our artists about having a totally unique piece designed for you.... at no extra cost.

Our large premises allow you sterile, individual, private rooms with your own choice of music. We have a professional approach, and also offer a 24 hour helpline for any questions you may have about your new tattoo.

Pop along any time and have a chat to our friendly staff or call us to make an appointment.

* After 3 hours remove the cling film and in the shower let the pressure of the water get rid of any unwanted residue.

* Wait for your tattoo to dry naturally making sure not to rub it, then apply the first bit of cream (we recommend Tatt Splatt)

* Your tattoo should take around 2 weeks to heal, in that time make sure you apply the cream 2 times a day (once in the morning and again in the evening after washing it).

  
* Whilst your tattoo is healing make sure you
- DO NOT
- Soak your tattoo in water
- Baths, swimming or in the sea
- Sun bathe or sun beds
 

When your tattoo is fully healed if it is ever exposed to the sun make sure you apply a really high factor sun cream to avoid fading

If in an area where there is clothing or shoes make sure they do not rub your tattoo.

Doing any of the above will effect the healing time and the end result of your tattoo
