Well, Urban Ink just keeps getting stronger.
The Brentwood shop has been open for almost a year now and going fantastically. We had Spike from Human Canvas doing guest spots there and after much negotiating, blackmailing and bribery, we managed to persuade him to work here full time. So along with Tara’s beautiful work, the Brentwood Urban Ink is knocking out some outstanding pieces. The Southend shop also has a new artist. Andy started here mid 2008 and producing some lovely clean work. Zoe continues to excel at everything she does, becoming one of the areas top artists, and Charlie’s black and grey is still second to none, with customers travelling from all over to get tattooed by him. With the mounting work load we’ll be taking on another outstanding artist in the near future so keep in touch. New Brentwood Studio
Greetings… Well what a year we’re having. Urban Ink 2 opened in March in Brentwood and is going down a storm. I’d like to thank everyone who came down on the open day to wish us well, Jodie Marsh came down for the event and is now having plenty of work done by us. We had brilliant day with beer, bikes and topless birds… what else can you ask for? Tara is doing an amazing job running the place, turning out some incredible work plus we now have Ferdi working here. Renowned in Brazil and now living in London his work is inspiring. Check out some of their artwork in our galleries. Wasn’t sure what the good citizens of Brentwood was going to make of us really being the first tattoo studio there, but the locals are getting used to us and the amount of ink walking round Brentwood has dramatically increased. As well as Tara and Ferdi, Charlie from our Southend shop is still doing a weekly spot there, with people travelling from all over the country to be tattooed by him, and soon we will have Spike from Human Canvas doing a guest spot here, pop down soon, say hi and get inked. Southend has just gone ballistic. Charlie never ceases to push the limits with his artwork and has built up a great reputation for his black and shade work, plus now he’s been working out, all the girlies are loving his new muscles! (And a couple of blokes as well I think!) Fran’s old and new school (and extremely large chest) are massively sort out in the area, with some of the best Chicano I’ve ever seen… totally unique style and the best in her field. Plus, being one of the premier body piercers in the area, with some lovely surface piercings and micro dermals , you’ll definitely need to book up soon to get an appointment. Zoe has impressed us all so much. She finished her apprenticeship last year and has gone on to produce consistently excellent work, always pushing herself, her artwork, skills and confidence are all superior to many artists with allot more years in the business. Again, always fully booked with a regular client base….. Why can’t all apprentices turn out like Zoe? Charlie and Fran will be working at the East Coast convention in November, so show your support if you’re there.
